Position Title: Feed Marketer
Location: Kansas
Salary: $70,000 +
Our client serves the agricultural industry by developing and implementing innovative and practical processing solutions. Today, they employ over 100 high quality people in cash and commodity trading, marketing, process consulting, engineering, equipment fabrication, field installation and plant start-up.
Position Description:
This person will be responsible for developing a market for an animal feed business. In particular, this person will be responsible for developing business and markets for dog, fish and cattle feed. The feed plant is part of an organization and complex that is comprised of an ethanol, wheat gluten and feed plant that is fully integrated and utilizes by-product streams. It utilizes midds from the wheat milling process and distillers dried grains and solubles (DDGS) from the ethanol process. The plant is designed for custom manufacturing of specialized feeds and currently produces the following products: Catfish (32, 36 and 38% protein), shrimp (35% protein), trout (42% protein) and cattle midds pellets, large and small. Dog food is not currently being produced, but they are prepared to manufacture once a market has been developed. Bagged and bulk product is shipped by rail, truck and container.
This person will be employed by the marketing company that represents this operation and not by the plant directly.
Qualifications:
Proven expertise and results in marketing feed and/or grain. Candidates with experience in the dog and fish feed market would be ideal. Knowledge and/or experience with DDGS would be a plus.
Required Experience:
Senior level business development and marketing experience in agricultural commodities.
