Bioenergy Platform Most Practical Long Term SolutionTo Energy Crisis, Pure Energy Executive Says

Release of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve will not solve the nation's long-term oil crisis with OPEC. Nor will fuel cells or the continued hunt for more oil. Irshad Ahmed, Chief Science Officer at the Pure Energy Corporation, told an audience at the September Biotechnology Seminar Series hosted by the Environmental and Regulatory Affairs Division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that the strategic solution to the United States energy crisis resides with biorefineries and engineered fuels.

"Pure Energy's integrated bioenergy solution allows for extending the petroleum supply in a cost effective manner, providing energy security, delivering cleaner burning motorfuels and more efficient energy systems to industry and the public," Ahmed said.

Ahmed cited the well-accepted Campbell-Leherrere world oil reserves predictive model, which concludes that if we maintain a present consumption growth rate of 2 percent, global oil production would peak in 2037.

Pure Energy Corporation, the U.S. leader in bioenergy and engineered fuels is building a bridge to "Big Oil" with its new economy approach toward solving energy problems.

Ahmed stated, "After many years of indifference, the oil industry is acknowledging the value added that Pure Energy's technology and patented engineered fuels platform brings to the energy equation. The successful implementation of our vision requires the oil industry to think and act beyond its normal borders. Our meetings with global oil companies reflect that there is a shared view on this vital issue. There is a national if not global recognition that the integration of renewable fuel components with fossil fuels provides a stretch solution to the energy supply side creating less dependence on foreign oil".

The Pure Energy Corporation, with offices in New York and California, is a private company that develops and commercializes technology for new fuels, fuel additives and chemicals by working with established industry partners. The company has developed a substantial base of intellectual property and patents. The patented P-Series and Oxydiesel fuels are being utilized in programs and across the country. Oxydiesel is now in commercial production.
