Missouri Governor Bob Holden to Give Policy Keynote Address at RFA’s National Ethanol Conference

Conference in San Diego, California February 27 to March 1

WASHINGTON, DC –The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) has announced that Missouri Governor Bob Holden (D), chair of the 26-state Governors’ Ethanol Coalition (GEC), will present the Keynote Policy Address at the RFA’s 7th Annual National Ethanol Conference: Policy and Marketing. Governor Holden served eight years as State Treasurer prior to being elected governor in 2000. He became chair of the GEC on January 1, 2002.

“The strong partnership that exists between the RFA and GEC has proved successful in promoting the increased production and use of ethanol,” said Bob Dinneen, president of the RFA. “The RFA looks forward to continuing the success of this vital partnership as we work together to enact a renewable fuels standard. We are eager to hear Governor Holden’s thoughts on the critical role states can play in promoting ethanol to enhance our national security and improve rural economies.”

During the conference, panels will discuss the role ethanol can play in enhancing homeland security, the outlook for ethanol in California, ethanol logistics and transportation, legislative issues, and much more.

Governor Holden will address the conference during the noon luncheon on Thursday, February 28, 2002. The conference will be held at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California, from February 27 to March 1, 2002.
