Wisconsin (1999 EWS)

Wisconsin's workshop last September concluded with a legislative forum that asked several legislators what, after hearing the discussions about ethanol during the workshop, they would recommend be done to encourage the development of an ethanol industry in the state. The outcome was that within a few months legislation was proposed and passed for an in-state producer credit, which, in turn, resulted in a major ethanol plant in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Plans for a second workshop are now underway.
