South
Dakota (1999 EWS)
The
workshop that was held in August last year was located
in Rapid City and included the forestry service of
the Wyoming Black Hills as well. South Dakota used
the opportunity to help bridge the differences between
the east and west sides of their state, and Wyoming
used it as a stepping-stone for an educational process
on ethanol. A Black Hills pre-feasibility study was
presented by NREL. Currently, there is a core group
of people investigating the option of an ethanol plant
in the Black Hills.
