Colorado (2000 EWS)

Following a tour of NREL's PDU, a highly interesting Workshop was held in Golden, Colorado, on June 13th. Approximately 50 people attended and a vast array of discussion points surfaced. The need for rural economic development was a primary focus that was addressed by both Dr. David Carlson, Colorado Department of Agriculture, and Ms. Flo Raitano, Rural Development Council. Efforts in that area will compliment Denver as an E85 model city and the potential of maintaining Colorado's open space. A follow-up meeting will be held soon.
