Alaska (1999 EWS)

Alaska is preparing for its follow up workshop to be held in Ketchikan on August 29, 2000. Since last year's Workshop, a study was commissioned to evaluate resources and sites available in southeast Alaska as well as the process technologies to determine which is most appropriate for the proposed project. Ketchikan is in the region where the proposed plant may be located. Information about ethanol, including impacts of an ethanol plant in the region and the results of the study, will be important topics of discussion at the upcoming Workshop.
