The following transportation information is provided by the Royal York:

Public Transportation

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is the local/city transportation system. The subway is attached to the hotel through the underground pathway and local city buses are available on Front Street, in front of the hotel.

Car Rental

Thrifty Rent-a-Car is located in the hotel. Pick-up and delivery is available. Various other car rental agencies are located in immediate vicinity. The concierge can arrange rentals.

Bus

The Greyhound Bus terminal is located about 15 minutes North of The Fairmont Royal York at the corner of Bay & Dundas Street. For more information, please call 1 (800) 665-7245 or log on to Greyhound Bus website.

Airport Express Shuttle Bus

Pacific Western operates an airport shuttle bus from all three terminals of Lester B. Pearson International Airport to the downtown core, and which stops at The Fairmont Royal York. Schedule:

  • From 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. the shuttle leaves The Fairmont Royal York twice per hour - on the hour, and on the half-hour.
  • After 12:30 a.m. there is a shuttle at 2:30 a.m., and then the next is at 4:30 a.m., after which time the twice per hour service resumes.

Rates:

  • Adults: $14.25 one way, $24.50 return trip.
  • Children under 11 ride for free when accompanied by an adult.
  • Seniors and students receive a 10% discount on the one-way fare only.

 

Train

The Fairmont Royal York is located directly across from Union Train Station and connected by an underground tunnel. The subway, the commuter train (Go Transit) and the train service (Via Rail and Amtrak) are available at the Union Train Station.
