Mike Bryan


Mike has 20 years experience in the ethanol industry plus fifteen years in advertising and marketing. Mike formed Bryan and Bryan Inc. (now BBI International) in 1995 as an ethanol technical consulting firm. The firm also produces a variety of publications and does conference and meeting planning for the ethanol industry. Mike prepares feasibility studies and business plans for a variety of public and private clients for bioenergy and agricultural processing projects.

Mike got his start in the ethanol industry as Assistant General Manager for Alchem Limited, of Grafton, North Dakota, where he was responsible for ethanol production and marketing, plant operation, purchasing, state legislative activities, and distillers grain marketing. Mike then joined the National Corn Growers Association in St. Louis, Missouri, as Ethanol Specialist responsible for international, federal and state projects. Mike's international experience includes ethanol trade missions to Japan, Korea, France and Taiwan, as well as being a director on the board of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association and Canadian Grain Producers Association.

On a federal level, Mike worked on ethanol issues relating to the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, The Technical Committee of the Renewable Fuels Association, and the National E-85 Program in conjunction with the Governors' Ethanol Coalition, and the National Council of Weights and Measures. Mike's state level experience includes labeling issues, RFG issues, the oxyfuel program and in-state ethanol incentive programs. He is also co-author of the “Ethanol Plant Development Handbook.”
