Kathy Bryan
Vice President

Kathy has over 20 years experience in the ethanol industry, including both hands-on production and consulting work. As Vice President of BBI International, Kathy is largely responsible for directing our conference and workshop services. Kathy draws upon her expertise to arrange prolific conference agendas, and then draws on her vast network of ethanol contacts for the best speakers, moderators and special guests.

Past Experience:

Owner / Operator of an ethanol plant in Minnesota - Kathy was responsible for the plant records, purchasing and marketing. The plant produced one and a half million gallons per year, mainly from corn, but it also had the flexibility to test production from a variety of green feedstocks.

Consultant and Ethanol Industry Promoter - Since its inception 18 years ago, Kathy has played an integral role in the annual Fuel Ethanol Workshop. Kathy created the National Ethanol Legislative Alert Network and is well networked with numerous representatives in the industry. Kathy has guided federal and state legislative efforts, testified before Congress and state legislatures, tracked ethanol production nationwide and developed ethanol plant/production surveys for Congressional use.

Kathy is probably the industry's best historian of ethanol's development and often serves as an informed speaker and participant in numerous ethanol events and projects. While Kathy still stays involved in studies and special programs, her focus is towards directing the conference and workshop services unit of BBI. Kathy can use her wealth of knowledge to guide topics, select speakers and plan conference agendas.

Publications: Co-author of the 'Ethanol Plant Development Handbook,' now available in its third edition. The Handbook is a comprehensive guidebook of issues and points to consider when planning the construction of an ethanol plant.

Positions: Past chair of the Minnesota Ethanol Commission, past director on the board of the Minnesota and National Corn Growers Associations.

International: Experience and involvement in Germany and Canada. Kathy speaks German fluently. She has also taken part in trade missions in China.

Awards: "Kathleen Bryan" Day in Minnesota by Governor Rudy Perpich and Ethanol Industry Leadership Award from Gist-Brocades.
