Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Kansas
Salary: $60,000 - $90,000
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering, architectural, construction, and environmental service firm. Started in 1898, our client employs more than 1,600 engineers, architects, scientists and other specialists plan, design and build quality projects around the world. Today they have offices around the country and the world.
Position Description:
Candidate will join an existing business development team to provide technical expertise and experience to a currently non-technical sales team procuring business to engineer and build ethanol plants. Candidate will provide technical assistance during business development process and will be required to assist in drafting of proposals, cost estimates, feasibility studies, etc. Candidate will provide ethanol production facility expertise and will be involved in advanced stages of project procurment. This will include travelling to the customer. This is not a sales position, but the candidate should be able to communicate effectively and instill confidence in the customer.
Qualifications:
Requires skills in project management that includes: construction management knowledge, cost control, cost estimates, work up schedule and proposal development. Must be familiar enough with engineering pricipals to be able to converse with engineers (no degree required). Ideal candidate would have experience in alcohol plant construction (project management, proposal development, project procurment). Alcohol (ethanol) operations knowledge is a plus. Requires a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and interact successfully with customers. Must have a can do attitude.
Candidate must be willing and able to travel 2-3 days per week.
