March 21, 2002Governor's decision on gasoline additive disappoints clean water advocates St. Paul, MN – Tri-State Ethanol and US Commodities, today, jointly announced a marketing alliance. US Commodities will handle the marketing for all the feed-grade co-products of Tri-State Ethanol. US Commodities will market all of the Dried Distillers Grains, Wet Distillers Grains, and Syrup generated by the Rosholt, SD facility.
“US Commodities offered us the most options,” said Dan Kafka, general manager of the Tri-State plant. “They have the most coverage of end-user markets together with industry-leading technology that makes doing business with US Commodities easier and more cost-effective.”
US Commodities, a leading agri-food products merchandising firm, markets agri-food products to the food, feed and industrial sectors in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The Company operates from five offices located in St. Paul, MN, Minneapolis, MN, Kansas City, MO, Fremont, NE, and Mexico City, Mexico. US Commodities is a subsidiary of AgMotion, Inc., a leading supplier of eBusiness solutions to the agri-food industry.
Tri-State Ethanol is a new 15 million gallon ethanol production facility located in northeast South Dakota. Tri-State is the only South Dakota plant presently served by the CP Rail system.
