December 3, 2001BROIN COMPANIES PASSES 200 MILLION GALLON PRODUCTION THRESHOLD Sioux Falls, SD — Broin & Associates, Inc. and Broin Management, LLC announced today that ethanol production at plants designed and managed by the Broin Companies has passed 200 million gallons of annual production. The group is the second largest producer of ethanol in the U.S.
With the recent new plant startup of Dakota Ethanol, LLC in Wentworth, SD and the rapid increase in plant output surpassing it’s 40 million gallon nameplate capacity in less than one month, the 200 million gallon milestone has been achieved.
Jeff Broin, CEO of the Broin Companies, had this to say: “It is exciting for the owners, managers and every plant employee to share in this great accomplishment. We compliment the hard work, dedication and commitment of everyone involved. As the ethanol industry expands to satisfy the increasing demand for clean burning, domestically produced fuel we are fulfilling our company’s role to provide a consistent, reliable supply of ethanol for our customers across the United States.”
