Personnel Promotions DECATUR, Ill.,Archer Daniels Midland Company is pleased to announce the following management positions at ADM/Farmland North American, Inc. in Kansas City, Kansas. ADM/Farmland North American, Inc. operates and manages the grain merchandising and elevators of the former North American Grain Division of Farmland North American, Inc. in Kansas City.
Bruce Benschoter has been appointed Vice President and General Manager. Bruce has been with the Farmland North American Grain Division as Director of Operations since 1994. He received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University. Bruce, 63, is married and has two children.
Mark Beemer has been appointed Vice President of Strategic Planning, Origination and Transportation. Mark has served in several management positions in Feedgrains and Corporate Transportation since joining ADM in 1993. Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and completed a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Chicago. Mark, 38, is married with one daughter.
Lane Walker has been appointed Commodities Manager.
Lane, 40, joined Farmland North American, Inc. in 1993 and most recently served as manager of the Farmland North American Wheat Desk. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics and Agronomy from the University of Nebraska.
B.J. Laven has been appointed Western Regional Manager/Cooperative Relations.
B.J. has over thirty years of experience in the grain business and joined Farmland North American, Inc. in 1986. His career at Farmland has included responsibilities in operations, logistics, merchandising, and coordination of specialty marketing programs. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Mathematics from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. B.J., 51, is married.
Darla Haston has been appointed Manager of Grain Settlements.
Darla has twenty-five years of experience in the grain business. She received a Bachelors of Science in Business from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. Darla, 47, is married with three children.
