Alabama (1999 EWS)

As part of Alabama's follow up activities, a proposal has been submitted to fund an effort to spur the Alabama Business Development Council's support for an ethanol facility. A steering committee has been organized to bring about a full-range ethanol industry in the state using dedicated energy crops, wood waste and municipal solid waste. The project will address appropriate technologies, economic impact, and possible site locations, including site visits. Efforts to assess biomass resources and potential sites are currently underway.
